While many industries have experienced shrinking and loss of jobs, cosmetology continues to offer unlimited job opportunities combined with highearning potential, fun and excitement.

In a 1998 survey made by the U.S. Department of Labor, the median annual salary for cosmetologists was $32,000. Salon owners' earnings are much higher.
